In designing this 4,700-square-foot home, designer Leah Margolis from, also from Saratoga Springs, New York, worked with the homeowners to achieve a joint vision of a cohesive space. Margolis introduced the owners to mid-century modern design beginning with an original Saarinen Tulip Table. The table started the ball rolling and they fully embraced it.
Kitchen cabinets will always be useful in all kitchens, but now we’re seeing a trend towards open shelving. Why hide away those eye catching kitchen accessories and crockery behind closed doors: These have design and appeal too.
Moreover, the wall beneath which these units are concealed can be custom-designed to integrate well within a variety of contemporary interior schemes. Have a look at the presentation video to better understand the complexity of the project:
Likened to a snowball gathering momentum, natural tones and materials is big across all interior design hemispheres, including kitchens. Brick veneer (or even brick if possible), adds a rustic one with nature feel, and if done right, will look terrific for time to come.
